HITL: Human-in-the-Loop

A real person double-checks and presses Approve before a computer or AI runs a high-stakes command.

Four-eyes: Two-Person Verification

Two different people must approve a risky change so one person cannot do it alone.

Approve & run: Review Then Execute

An operator reads the queued change, then starts it only after they agree it is safe.

Self-elevate: Skip Second Approver

A special setting that lets one operator approve their own action when four-eyes would normally require a second person.

Guardrails: Safety Boundary Rules

Rules that block dangerous or unauthorized commands before they run, like rails on a bridge.

Bounded Autonomy: Controlled AI Freedom

The AI may do routine, low-risk fixes alone, while high-risk changes still wait for a human.

Remote Console: Live Screen & Terminal Access

A browser window where an operator can see a remote computer, take control when needed, and use a shell.

Interactive Console: Remote Command Shell

A text terminal inside Remote Console for typing commands on the remote computer.

Enrollment Token: Secure Machine Registration Pass

A secret code that lets a new computer join your portal safely without typing passwords by hand.

FlowRMM Agent: Endpoint Helper App

Small software on each computer that talks to the portal, runs approved work, and powers remote sessions.

Endpoint: Managed Computer

A laptop, desktop, or server enrolled in FlowRMM that operators can help remotely.

Telemetry: Device Health Reports

Live status updates, like CPU, memory, or battery, sent automatically from a remote computer.

Actions: Approval Queue

The portal page where pending changes wait for a human to Approve & run or Reject.

Audit Trail: Who Did What Record

A history of sessions, approvals, and commands so the next engineer can see what happened.

Tenant: Isolated Operator Workspace

One operator org’s private FlowRMM world — keys, operators, and inventory stay inside that boundary (MSP, internal IT, or small team).

Client: Customer Or Org Unit

A company or org unit you organize endpoints under (for example Acme Corp). For MSPs this is often an end customer; for internal IT it can be a business unit.

Site: Location Group

A place under a client, like Acme HQ or a warehouse, where endpoints are grouped.

MCP: Model Context Protocol

A standard way for AI helper apps to talk to FlowRMM tools while still respecting approvals.

Runbook: Saved Repeatable Fix

A reusable set of steps for a known job, so operators do not reinvent the same fix each time.

Device Group: Endpoint Bundle

A named set of computers you can target together, still with the same approval habits as one machine.

Self-Evaluation: AI Self-Check

The AI checking its own work, outputs, command sanity, and safety, before finishing a task.

Agentic Triage: Automated Problem Diagnosis

An AI assistant investigates an issue, figures out why it happened, and proposes a safe fix.

Cohort 01: First Launch Group

The first group of operators evaluating FlowRMM Remote Console — MSPs, internal IT, and small teams — before a broader public launch.
